Mommies + Daddies with Cameras
aka Get Out of Auto

**So yes, I used wedding photos to display Off Camera Flash (OFC), but flash is SO IMPORTANT to both pro's and for personal use. Without flash, the top photo would have had to of been exposed for the couple and NOT the sunset. With flash, I was able to expose for the sunset and have the couple be equally lit, in-turn, all details were captured. in the bottom photo, the flash was used as filler for no shadows but the flash use is less apparent. So this class is for beginners with the interest to venture into flash. Flash is so necessary for everything! Sunsets, indoor for events/parties, as filler light (we'll talk about that) and so on.
** On this day we will discuss:

-speedlights vs studio lights - two different types of flashes
-speedlight on shoe (we’ll talk about what that means) vs on stand (or monopod)
—positioning location of flash to properly light up space and subjects face to reduce unwanted shadows
-triggers + receivers (what are these things? do I need them?)
-light settings 1/1 to 1/128
-diffusers/bounce cards
-adjusting kelvin - too blue to too yellow (this is crazy important for if you want to “get out of auto) + the grid
-shooting sunset with flash vs without flash
-speedlight for backlighting
-gels to make fake sunset
